I MISS YOU MOM
You might be wondering what Marilyn Monroe has to do with me missing my mom. When I look at Marilyn I see so much of my mom. Not only her looks but, the strong women she was. Like Marilyn my mom struggled a lot in her life and, fortunately made it through the ups and downs. Marilyn wasn't as lucky but, lived an amazing life either way. I can honestly say my mom is my biggest inspiration, she raised us pretty much on her own, she sacrificed so much for her children and, would put herself last. I sometimes wonder if my mom would have been some famous scarlet if she didn't have kids.. I know she wouldn't trade us in for the world but, my mom has that special something you see in people who should be in the arts. I have a love of music, fashion, art, and anything where I can be creative because of my mom. Music was always playing in our home, or in the car growing up. My mom never left the house without lipstick and, eyeliner on. She made men and women stop and, stare everywhere we went oblivious to the attention. She could make any budget work and, still look fabulous. She lives in Toronto and, I live in Vancouver. Its really hard because now as, an adult we are closer then ever. I plan on heading home for a visit the end of May. I love you mom! Thank you for letting me be me growing up! There was no limitations on how we expressed ourselves and, for that I am so grateful..
