The 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games Open Workout 12.2 has been announced.
It’s time to snatch. Last week, we had more than 60,000 athletes submit scores for a total count of 5.7 million burpees. Let’s see if the community can match it this week with more than 5 million snatches.
The weights start light, so everyone can compete, but with every jump the fittest will differentiate themselves.
Workout 12.2
Proceed through the sequence below completing as many reps as possible in 10 minutes of:
30 Snatch (M 75 / F 45 lbs)
30 Snatch (M 135 / F 75 lbs)
30 Snatch (M 165 / F 100 lbs)
Max Rep Snatch (M 210 / F 120 lbs)
30 Snatch (M 135 / F 75 lbs)
30 Snatch (M 165 / F 100 lbs)
Max Rep Snatch (M 210 / F 120 lbs)
This workout begins from the standing position. The athlete will complete all reps at the first weight before advancing to the next weight. Score is total reps completed in 10min.
Hey everyone, I did this workout today and could only get through the first 30 snatches at 45lbs, I spent the next 7 1/2 minutes attempting a 75lb snatch. I didn't manage to get one but, it was a really good learning experience for me. At the end of the WOD I did about 10 snatches at 65lbs. My goal is to get a 75lb snatch before the end of March. Im on my way to Crossfit Renegade to watch the other teammates complete the Wod! Below is a few videos doing the split snatch at 65lbs. Not perfect form but, they will only get better with practice!
